11-25-07 Art Sales Improving
After a four-year period of tight art sales in the Midwest, I am pleased to announce that MY sales have improved this fall and winter. This is a very hopeful sign!
I also must remind myself to "go easy on myself" and be patient since I am in the transition from being a seasonal gallery owner and Blue Coast Artist participant with thousands of BCA customers passing through my gallery to a solo operator - a consigning and exhibiting artist.
This translates to fewer out-of-pocket costs... but also fewer potential customers seeing my work.
FALL & WINTER 2008 SALES:
9/07 I was comissioned to create two 12" X 12" original canvas's as a result of an interview with Country Woman Magazine.
10/07 I sold a 22" X 28" canvas in Harbor Country, MI from a new gallery I consign with there.
10/07 I sold two canvas's, a 22" X 28" and a 12" X 28" piece from my studio during a Autumn "open studio" event.
11/07 I sold a 12" X 12" square canvas at the opening of "Dialog with Plants: Handmade Paper on a Canvas" at the Till Midnight Gallery, Holland, MI.
These are encouraging signs!
